John Ernest Cranberry Cider

JEV Spiced Cranberry Cider

  Prep:  2 Minutes

1 (750 milliliter) bottle of John Ernest
  Cranberry Wine

  1 Gallon Apple Cider

  1/2 Cup of brown sugar

  1/4 tsp. salt

  1 tsp. allspice

  1 tsp. cloves
  1 (3 inch) cinnamon stick
Simmer.  Works great in percolating coffee pot.

John Ernest Red Sangria

 Prep:  10 Minutes

No need to spend a lot of money on wine here.  Sangria (which literally means

“bleeding”) is a fruit-filled acidic beverage, as good with any grocery store jug

red wine as with a more expensive brand.

1/3 C. Sugar

1/3 C. Lemon Juice

1/3 C. Orange Juice

1 (750 milliliter) bottle of John Ernest Merlot red wine

1 small orange

1 lemon, thinly sliced

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large pitcher, stirring until sugar

dissolves.  Add wine, orange slices, and lemon slices, stir gently.

Serve over crushed ice.  Yield:  5 Cups.
